British skate-punks ROAM have just hit us with their debut full-length album, Backbone, and it’s already one of the most exciting releases of this year. It’s not surprising that there are a bunch of reasons you should check out the album but, to make things even easier for you, we’ve rounded up just five damn good excuses for you to stick Backbone on right this second. The intro track is awesome

Backbone kicks off with a somewhat confusing, but incredibly cool, French intro in ‘The Desmond Show’. Yes, this band is from the humble seaside town of Eastbourne, but that doesn’t mean they can’t spice up their debut with a little Français. Once we are seduced by the world’s sexiest language (that’s common knowledge, right?) we then hear a pretty authentic radio presenter giving a quirky introduction to some band called ROAM…
