It’s been a long time coming- with a hell of a lot of drama along the way!- but the new blink-182 (with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba replacing original member Tom DeLonge, in case you’ve been living under a rock) have finally released something from their latest project- as we like to call it, ‘blink-182 2.0’.
New track ‘Bored to Death’ is more mature than the blink-182 we remember from our teenage years but, then again, we’re not teenagers anymore and neither are they. With an accomplished musician such as Skiba by their side, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker have managed to develop much further than their Enema of the State days, keeping records such as 2003’s self-titled or 2011’s Neighborhoods more in mind whilst still holding onto those insanely catchy choruses.
If you haven’t already, you can check out the new single ‘Bored to Death’ below:
We’re pretty happy with our first taste of the new blink-182, but what does everyone else think? Now we’ve all had a couple of days to get our heads around the new single, we’ve rounded up a few Twitter reactions to see what people are saying about one of pop-punk’s most talked-about bands.
Maybe because I accidentally drank too much again but Im still obsessed with the new Blink song. Save your breath, I’m nearly bored to death

Blink-182 has got a new song. But I’m not quite feeling it. Is it because I’m no longer a prepubescent teenager? #BoredToDeath

Srsly, this new Blink 182 track is owning my life right now. Feels so good to hear something on par with the self-titled CD.

Finally listened to the new @blink182 song. They gained points for adding Skiba, but lost way more points for making a lyric video
