REVIEW: Blood Command – Cult Drugs

Lucky for us, we’ve been able to check out Cult Drugs, the latest album unleashed by fierce, ferocious Norwegian rockers Blood Command.

Opening track CTRL+ART+DEL is loud and something your parents would probably describe as “bloody outrageous!”. It gives the entire vibe of the album straight away, which we’d say is Of Mice & Men meets the older works of Waterparks, an unusual mix but something we think will prove immensely popular, particularly with younger audiences. It definitely has us hooked within the first few chords, and there’s no reason it won’t do the same with a whole wealth of listeners!

‘Gang Signs’ is one of the best on the album – and our personal favourite, if we’re being honest! We just adore the raw sounds and the modern take on the classic rock style of music, introducing this generation to the genre with a new take on a good ol’ fashioned sound. The tracks definitely gets you feeling pumped and ready to release a huge amount of energy, which is exactly what the band does.

This is the first we’ve of Blood Command but, from the fresh rock ‘n’ roll sound heard in Cult Drugs, will one hundred per cent not be the last! We reckon this album is something that will appeal to listeners with heavier tastes – but we don’t think this will stop the band’s unique take on rock music from gaining a variety of new fans.

Cult Drugs by Blood Command is set for release on the 28th of April 2017.
