2017’s Download Festival Headliners Are Some of Their Best Yet – Here’s Why!

The rock ’n’ roll mega-fest that is Download Festival is fast-approaching, and if you haven’t got yourself a ticket yet then what on earth are you waiting for?! The festival has a proven track record of pumping out killer line-ups year after year, in particular drawing in some of the biggest bands in rock music to headline each night of the weekender. And, of course, this year is no different!

Download Festival 2017 has made some pretty big promises with this year’s headliners, and we reckon they’ve pulled off some of their best names to top off their evenings yet! This is why we think this year’s headline acts are some of the best ones Download have ever produced!

System Of A Down

They’re an insane live band, aren’t they? Surely that’s good enough of a reason to see System Of A Down at this year’s Download Festival! Kicking off the weekend as the first main stage headliner on the Friday evening, System Of A Down are sure to pull some of their craziest, noisiest, most mosh-inducing hits out of the bag for this larger-than-live performance. Honestly, we have huge expectations for this set to send the crowd into a first-night frenzy and set precedent for the rest of the weekend – it all lies on you, SOAD, and we believe you can do it!

Biffy Clyro

We remember when Biffy Clyro were just a solid rock ’n’ roll band from Scotland making their way through support slots and warm-up acts. But just look at them now! Probably (actually, most definitely!) one of the UK’s biggest rock bands, Biffy Clyro has assembled an army of fans and a mammoth back catalogue of modern rock ’n’ roll anthems that are sure to set Donington alight this year! Nestling in nicely as the middle headliner, Biffy Ckyro are certain to keep the weekend’s energy high and the partying going well into the night.

Aerosmith

Legends! Download Festival wouldn’t be complete without a headliner who has cemented themselves as a giant of rock music over the decades, and that’s where the final main stage headliners Aerosmith fit in. We hope that the band will be out in full form for the weekend, with plenty of strutting and stomping across the stage along with some stellar high notes, outrageous outfits and classic rock anthems to boot. We can’t wait to hear the tracks that we’ve being singing and dancing along to for entire lives, and what better place than the UK’s home of rock?!
