Ska punk outfit Goldfinger, fronted by producer genius and music wiz-kid John Feldmann, have announced that they will be releasing their first new album in nine years, The Knife.

Put The Knife Away‘ is the band’s new single, which is taken from The Knife. The new album is set for release on 21st July via Rise Records. It is the band’s first album since 2008’s Hello Destiny.

Speaking of the new album, Feldmann has said: “I took my time making this record, nine years to be exact! I feel like I’ve made the most concise Goldfinger record in my career. We have all Goldfinger styles together as one, with Zakk Cervini, who mixed the blink-182 record, and Travis Barker on drums, I couldn’t be more proud of an album.

The Knife features blink-182‘s Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus, 311‘s Nick Hexum, and twenty one pilotsJohn Dun.

Goldfinger will be performing at this weekend’s Slam Dunk Festival, so we’re sure they’ll let slip a live debut of ‘Put The Knife Away‘!
