Download Festival have confirmed that hard rock outfit Avenged Sevenfold will be headlining the main stage next year, four years after their first appearance at this summer’s festival. Guns N’ Roses have also been revealed as the third and final headliner at next year’s festival. The two bands join Ozzy Osbourne from announcements earlier this week.
Avenged Sevenfold have said this of their appearance at Download Festival 2018: “We are more than honoured to be a part of this legendary show and line up. Being asked to headline Download for the second time is a career highlight. We would like to thank our UK A7X family.”
Download Festival promotor Andy Copping has also spoken of the recent announcements: “It’s great to have this iconic line up of Guns N’ Roses headlining at Download. I am sure I am not alone when I say I have been wanting this to happen for years. It will be an incredible show and will be one of the highlights of the Download weekend!”
This will be the first UK festival appearance of the Guns N’ Roses original lineup, including Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan.
Download Festival will take place on the 8-10 June 2018, and tickets are available now!
